Joss Whedon (
Firely, Buffy, Angel) is a nerd god in my eyes, thus I'm obviously excited that one of his next projects,
Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (staring Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion), finally has a trailer.
Here's where I tell you to hit the jump to watch it.
This clip was premiered over the weekend at New York Comic-con at the Venture Brothers panel.
Now it's in glorious widescreen, full sound, and no screaming fans to muffle the dialog!
Venture Brothers comes out this summer on June 1st.

p.s. My con report to follow sometime later today or tomorrow. Til then, Wish Andy a Happy Birthday! ...or else.
Battlestar Galactica is easily one of my all-time favorite shows. It's smart, it's well written, and it's one of those rare shows that challenge you beliefs. I mean, when was the last time you switched on a television drama and be given issues like religion, torture, what qualifies as "humanity", and genocide?
I was afraid at first I would see this fourth season of the program, due to my semi-recent lack of cable, but
Hulu came to the rescue. Not only do they have LAST season available, but they already have last Friday's season premiere.
If you missed it, I've included it in
the extended...but if you haven't caught up yet, there's some MAJOR spoilers. So....you know...hurry the hell up!
It seems this is the summer for Doctors on the old tele.
First up-
For All you 'Whovians' out there, the 4th season of
Doctor Who returns to the BBC
April 5th. For those of you who are patient enough to wait for the American release,
Sci-Fi Channel has you covered with their premiere on
April 18th, but they're starting with the in between special episode, "Voyage of the Damned." [Staring Kylie Minogue]
Season 4 will reintroduce the character
Donna Noble [played by Catherine Tate] as the Doctor's new companion. She was first seen in Season 3 in the episode, "Run Away Bride."
Speaking of Doctors-
Doctors, Swedish Murder Machines, Super Villains, and Cads alike return for season 3 of
The Venture Brothers. Creator Jackson Publick confirmed that
June 1st is when the show will return to share it's 'extra greatness' with the world on Cartoon Network's
Adult Swim. Read more about it on his
blog.

If memory serves, I was in 9th grade when South Park started. At the time, I went very quickly from finding it enjoyable to it annoying the ever-living-shit out of me* and wanting to stab everyone who decided to try out their Cartman impressions on me.
Rob, on the other hand, was a huge fan who (and feel free to correct me, Mr. Spencer) I remember making it a mission of his to record every show that aired on VHS--which I'm hoping/assuming he didn't actually keep up with over the years--for his private collection. If he only knew that one day this magical web of computers we call the "internet" would house EVERY episode of South Park...some even uncensored.
Yep,
South Park Studios is presenting the world with free (legal) episodes of South Park for your viewing pleasure. Just three caveats: A) Doesn't work in Canada; B) There's ads; and C) Episodes of the current season won't go up until next month. Another issue is, unlike
Hulu, they don't seem to have a way to embed episodes for you to share. And I was so looking to share the one about
Scientology. Damn.
*I liked the show again sometime after the movie came out and they started using it as a soapbox instead of ONLY a string of shit jokes...so get off my back!

Every South Park Ever Online for Free (Legally!) via
Gizmodo]
Today the Fox/NBC online venture,
Hulu, has been open to the public. This means cheap skates, like myself, can watch TV on our computers for FREE...
legally.
I've actually been using Hulu for a while, since I managed to get in on the beta and I am fairly happy with it. Yes, there's ads (unskipable), but they're short and take place when TV ads would normally take place. I'm more than willing to put up with it if it means I can save myself a cable bill every month and only have to buy internet access.
A feature that I'm a big fan of is the ability to embed TV shows. This means I can stop screaming how amazing a show Firefly was and just include it in my damn posts. You can even embed a small clip from a show in case you wanted to highlight a particular line or scene.
But what about the content itself? Well, it's as mix of a bag as TV is and I would love it to expand out to other companies in the future. Still, the selection is large enough and features some greats (
Firefly,
Simpsons,
House,
My Name is Earl,
Battlestar Galatica), some classics (
Night Gallery,
Doogie Houser, M.D.,
The Addams Family), and some "WTFs" (
Exosquad,
Young Hercules,
Team Knight Rider). There's also movies--if your so inclined.
If you want a sample before you sign up (and you know you will), I'll throw in a video after the jump. Yes, it's from Firefly.
Looking to get a leg up on your Venture Brother fan porn or attempting to suck up to our very own VB-fanatic Chandra Free? Well, today's your lucky day!
Storyboard and Design Supervisor for the Venture Brothers,
Stephen Destefano, has put up a
three part tutorial on how to draw the crew of the popular Adult Swim program. If you decide to use this knowledge irresponsibly, however, I don't want to see your results (send them to Chan instead). Unless it falls under the category of "so bad it's good".

Catch the Oscars? Neither did I. If you're really that interested, though,
Mahalo Daily has the whole damn show crammed into just 60 seconds.

Did anyone see the NEW Knight Rider?
....neither did I.
For anyone interested though, I AM able to provide you with the movie that aired [I believe] last Sunday. You can catch it
after the jump.
I'm going to wait for a few episodes before I give you my impression.
